Student/Client Support Services
Australian Easy Train offers the following client services to ensure we support learners with the best opportunity for successful course outcomes, including essential student information:
- Extra training, knowledge, practical experience, and machinery use can be arranged through an appointment with your trainer or at the front desk.
- Verbal assessments can be organized with your trainer for students with any LLN difficulties.
- Additional study time can be arranged before undertaking assessments if required.
If it’s determined that a student’s language, literacy, and numeracy skills are insufficient, they may be referred to an alternate source for training to achieve the required competency level.

Language and Literacy in the Library
Greater Dandenong libraries offer free independent language and literacy advice and referrals. Our qualified staff specialise in English as a Second Language (ESL) and adult literacy. The Language and Literacy program helps adults to:
- learn English
- improve reading, writing and literacy
- prepare for IELTs
- obtain further study and employment information
- develop lifelong skills.
Drop-in sessions
Drop-in sessions are held every week to help adults on the spot with:
- resumes
- job searching
- writing letters
- filling in forms
- government websites
- hazard driving test
- internet and computers
- English online practice.
Drop-in session days and times (school terms only)
- Dandenong Library: Tuesdays 1pm-3pm and Thursdays 2pm-5pm
- Springvale Library: Wednesdays 2pm-5pm
One-on-one sessions
You can also book into a one-one session for assistance with the following:
- Free and confidential language and/or literacy assessments
- Referrals to appropriate English language/literacy courses (based on a full assessment of client needs)
- Language assessment and advice for citizenship application/classes
- In-depth help with resumes, letters, form filling, job searching
- Advice for further study and employment opportunities
- Advocacy on behalf of clients
- Use of appropriate interpreter services
- Conversation circles to practice English.

Computer assisted learning
As part of your language and literacy appointment, staff can also assist you to access the libraries’ online learning tools. You can undertake listening, reading and writing practice at different levels. Programs include Studiosity – a real time, one-on-one study assistant with a 24 hour writing feedback service. Please remember to bring your library card to the appointment. Some other options may include:
- Adult reading and writing Apps
- The Language, Literacy and Numeracy Program (LLNP)
- Workplace English, Language and Literacy (The Well Program)
